About Us

“Musicians and venues combine to produce the perfect tribute to the 17th and 18th Centuries.”
Westways AAA Magazine, May/June 2019
“Lively pre-concert brass music enjoyed al fresco and ‘wine and waters’ receptions for mixing with the musicians after each concert create a memorable experience.” Newport Beach Independent
“Blumenstock, equal parts friendly and scholarly, is a celebrated Baroque violinist, much in demand.”
Orange County Register

About the Festival

Our yearly summer Festival, directed by Elizabeth Blumenstock since 2011, aims to present the astounding wealth and diversity of music of the Baroque era through a season of five concerts performed by the finest musicians in the historically informed Baroque field.

We are proud to be a community festival and welcome you to our community. We offer the chance to socialize with our musicians, and each other, over “wine and waters” at each of our concerts, and also take pride in our lovely and varied venues, which include the beautiful Sherman Gardens in the heart of Corona del Mar.

We are always looking to expand and develop our organization. We welcome interest from potential board members and volunteers. Musician housing during Festival week, in or near Newport Beach, is especially needed. Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved, and consider joining our mailing list to be among the first to know about future concerts.

Critical Acclaim

Please visit our critical acclaim page to read highlights of our press coverage in recent years.

Festival Leadership

Our organization is volunteer-led with support from a part time administrator and specialist consultants when needed. Click here for details of our Board of Directors and Advisory Board.
