“Ask Elizabeth” response: the harpsichord in Baroque music–with Elizabeth Blumenstock
An illustrated lecture by the festival’s artistic director Elizabeth Blumenstock in response to a question from a winner in our July 2020 prize drawing:
“My question is about the harpsichord in Baroque music. I would love to learn if this instrument is only for Baroque music, and more history about how it became a statement of Baroque music.”
Elizabeth Blumenstock, speaker
Ian Pritchard, harpsichord
Alexandra Opsahl, cornetto
