Singers and instrumentalists alike bring their expertise and flair to the Orange County coast every June, performing the music of the 17th and 18th centuries in historically informed interpretations. We enjoy the talents of many local performers from Orange County, San Diego and the greater L.A. area, as well as those of musicians from further afield. With the exception of our Friday “Gardens” concert, which is traditionally on modern instruments, there is ample opportunity to hear and explore the wonderful Baroque instruments used by our orchestral players and soloists.
Our new Meet the Instruments page is now live. More instruments will be added soon, so stay tuned!
To learn about soloists and chamber concert performers appearing in the 40th season please visit our Featured Artists page. More artists will be added as they are announced, in the early months of 2020.
Elizabeth Blumenstock has curated and led our Festival performances since 2011, when she succeeded Burton Karson, the Festival’s cofounder and now Artistic Director Emeritus.
Elizabeth Blumenstock interviews a selection of performers each season. Enjoy these two-minute reads!
Each year talented specialist Baroque players from up and down the west coast gather in Corona del Mar once more to form the Festival Orchestra. There is a camaraderie amongst the musicians which is often infectious in concerts.
