Amanda Achen
Soprano
Soprano Amanda Achen is a multi-genre vocalist who specializes in concert work and jazz. Equally at home on the symphony stage, the opera stage, in jazz clubs, and in the studio, she has performed as a soloist in various venues in Los Angeles and beyond, including the Dolby Theater, Microsoft Theatre, Ambassador Auditorium, Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center, and Walt Disney Concert Hall.
Recent solo engagements include Mozart’s Requiem, Carmina Burana, Poulenc’s Gloria, Mahler’s Symphony No. 2, Bach’s Mass in B Minor, Bach’s Magnificat, Handel’s Orlando, Haydn’s The Creation, Purcell’s King Arthur, the Final Fantasy XIV World Tour concert, and the Music of Miyasaki World Tour concert. This season Amanda reprises her performance in the Music of Miyasaki concert as her debut with the Seattle Symphony. Achen also joins the Angeles Chorale in their performance of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Requiem in Spring 2020.
