A Gala benefiting the 2024 Festival Season: All the Pleasures!

  • When: Sunday, January 28, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Where: St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 2200 San Joaquin Hills Rd, Newport Beach
  • What: A one-hour gala performance entitled “Trios for Six: An Exploration of Baroque Micro-styles” given by the Festival’s artistic director Elizabeth Blumenstock and Shelby Yamin (violins), Maxine Eilander (Baroque harp), Ian Pritchard (harpsichord and organ), Kevin Cooper (theorbo and Baroque guitar), and Leif Woodward (cello and viola da gamba), of trio sonatas performed with lavish continuo accompaniment by Handel, Corelli, Purcell, Biber, Castello, and others (scroll to the bottom of this page for the full program details), followed by a catered dinner.
  • Why? To enjoy… a gala concert given by a group of stellar Baroque specialists, delicious food from Suzanne’s Catering, and hand-picked wines, while joining the Festival Board of Directors in raising essential funds for the Festival’s 44th Annual Season. 
  • What to wear? Evening gala attire (black tie or cocktail) is encouraged for those who enjoy dressing up, but is not required.
  • Invitations have been mailed to those on our postal mailing list, and Winter Musicale tickets are available to purchase online or by mail. Buy your tickets/RSVP by January 19 when we confirm numbers for catering. We look forward to celebrating with you.

Ticket Information & Sponsorship Opportunities

There is a minimum of a $250 per person contribution to attend the Winter Musicale:

  • Individual* – $250 (of which $125 is non-tax-deductible to defray costs of the gala event, and $125 is a tax-deductible gift in support of the June 2024 Festival season)
  • Party of 6-8* – $2,000 – reserve a table for dinner for your group, plus priority concert seating!
  • Dinner sponsorship – $5,000 – please contact zenedwards@bmf-cdm.org for details

*Please note that checks from DAFs are not eligible for Winter Musicale-qualifying donations, since 50% of the per person contribution required to attend this annual gala event is non-tax-deductible to cover goods and services received at the event. Personal checks, and online donations, are gladly accepted.
